Language disorders
When a child’s understanding or use of language does not develop as expected for their age, whether in what they understand (receptive language) or how they express themselves (expressive language), based on developmental milestones.
- Limited vocabulary or difficulty finding the word they want
- Short, incomplete sentences or grammatical errors
- Difficulty following instructions or answering age-appropriate questions.
- Developmental Language Disorder (DLD, formerly known as Specific Language Impairment or SLI).
